Engagement & Experience

Smart Room

Smart Room makes the inpatient room a working part of care delivery. It gives patients clearer information and self-service options at the bedside, and supports remote clinical participation in admission, education, discharge and family communication. Patient television, digital whiteboards, door displays and episodic virtual care are configured around your care model and existing rooms.

The room as part of care delivery

  • “When is my meal coming?”Call light · nurse
  • “Who is my doctor today?”Call light · nurse
  • “Can you fix the TV?”Call light · nurse
  • “What happens next?”Call light · nurse
  • “Explain my medication again”Call light · nurse
  • “I'm in more pain”Nurse · clinical

Every request goes to the nurse.

Patients get clearer information about the plan and self-service options for the requests that do not need a nurse. Care teams get remote clinical participation in admission, education, discharge and family communication, so a second clinician can join without walking to the room.
